Finally Fall

Here is a picture of Stella and cousin Jack enjoying a snack at Baboo and Poppa's in August

I don't know about you, but i am LOVING this fall weather. Breathing in that cool, brisk air in the morning gets me going. Its helping me get out of bed at 5:30am, my new wake-up time!
Yes, things are a-changing in the Cheg household, our little Stella is now a "big girl" and attending a "big girl" daycare. She started on Tuesday and is doing very well. She loves the playground and the art table and comes home a filthy mess, which I take as a good sign! She isn't loving the now much longer car ride (with the sun in her eyes) and isn't sure that her brother should be staying by himself at Nancy's, but quickly forgets when I set her down in her classroom and she sees either paint, markers, or crayons out. I'm lucky to get a good-bye, much less our "nosey-nosey" eskimo kiss.

Here is Stella doing some artwork at home- on herself!

Max is doing just great. His eating has really taken off and he's gaining weight like a champ. He's still probably in the lower percentiles at 19lbs, but looks healthy and plump, so i'm happy. His 4th tooth has broken through and they are starting to be more visible, making a very cute smile (not that it wasn't already when gummy). He's still rolling and rocking on hands and knees. Unlike Stella at this age he isn't all that worked up about standing, although he is certainly strong enough. They really are all unique individuals.

Here's a pic of little Max with "Auntie Lala" from our recent Pburg trip

Maxey is a charmer, as you see he had my highschool gal pals all gushy over him, he has that effect on me too!

In other Cheg news, we have officially broken the "night-night" aka- the pacifier, habit! The night night fairy came and took all of Stella's nuks and left her a nice turtle that lights up stars on the ceiling when her lights are out. It was a sad first couple of nights, but she did wonderfully and we are thrilled to say her night-night is a thing of the past and her sleep is so much more sound! (mommy's too!) And Max slept through the night last night- 8:30p to 5:30a. Probably our best stretch ever, yahoo!

Have a great weekend!
